Match Format
Each cricket format has its own dynamics and betting strategies. Understanding the differences helps you make smarter decisions at marjan898.
The shortest and most exciting format — each team plays exactly 20 overs. T20 is the format best suited for betting: action-packed, fast-moving, and the game can turn around in just a few balls. IPL and T20 World Cup both use this format. marjan898 offers 200+ markets per major T20 match, including ball-by-ball live betting.
A 50-over-per-side format that gives strategies more time to develop. ODI is the classic format that has been popular since the first World Cup. Matches typically last a full day and offer plenty of betting market opportunities across each session — pre-match, during the first innings, and during the chase. marjan898 provides full markets for all international ODIs.
The oldest and most prestigious format in cricket — each team has two innings and a match can last up to 5 days. Test matches are the true test of cricketing skill, offering unique betting markets such as series result, day-by-day winner, overall series top scorer, and more. marjan898 provides full coverage of Test matches between top sides, including The Ashes, India vs England, and other major series.

Year-roundMarket Types
It goes beyond just picking a winner — marjan898 offers an extensive range of cricket markets for players who want to put their in-depth knowledge to good use.
The most straightforward market — pick which team will win the match. For T20 and ODI there is no draw option. For Test matches, three options are available: Team A wins, Team B wins, or draw. marjan898 offers competitive odds across all formats.
Beginner-FriendlyPredict who will be the top run-scorer in the match or which bowler will take the most wickets. This is a highly popular market among IPL fans as it lets you focus on individual players such as Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, or Jasprit Bumrah at marjan898.
Most SearchedBet on whether the total runs in an entire match — or within a specific inning — will go over or under a set value. This market is particularly useful when you can analyse pitch conditions, weather, and the bowling strength of both sides at marjan898.
Strategic PicksA specialist market that lets you bet on how many runs will be scored in a specific over — such as overs 1–6 (powerplay), the final overs (death overs), or any individual over of your choice. This is one of the most popular live betting markets at marjan898.
Best Live BettingPredict how the first wicket will fall — whether by caught, bowled, LBW, run out, or another method. This market carries higher odds and is well-suited to cricket enthusiasts who truly understand the bowling styles of specific players on marjan898.
Higher OddsBet on every ball as the match unfolds — dot ball, four, six, wicket, wide, or no ball. marjan898's live betting feature updates every ball with odds that reflect the exact situation on the field at that very moment.
Most InteractivePredict who will be named Man of the Match at the end of the game. Odds for this market tend to be higher, offering greater potential returns. It is especially popular for IPL matches at marjan898 given the wide selection of star players to choose from.
High PayoutsCombine selections from multiple cricket matches into a single parlay to multiply your potential winnings. You can mix IPL, international T20, and ODI matches on one parlay ticket at marjan898, complete with a real-time winnings calculator.

Cricket Betting Guide
Cricket is a game full of nuance, and bettors who understand it deeply have a very real edge when wagering. This is not a coin toss — every decision on the field is shaped by dozens of factors you can analyse and capitalise on at marjan898.
The first thing to look at is always the pitch conditions. Pitches in India — particularly in cities like Chennai or Mumbai — traditionally favour spin bowlers and give an advantage to the team batting first, before the surface begins to deteriorate by the third or fourth day. Pitches in England and Australia tend to suit pace bowlers, especially during the morning session. Understanding pitch conditions can significantly change how you read the odds on marjan898.
For IPL betting specifically, squad composition and the availability of key players are invaluable pieces of information. IPL teams rely heavily on a handful of star players, and their absence — whether due to injury or national team call-ups — can significantly shift the balance of power. marjan898 keeps squad information up to date before every IPL match.
IPL is a different entertainment product from regular cricket. With just 20 overs, every IPL match is explosive and no team is truly an underdog — any franchise can beat any other on the right night. This means odds on perceived weaker sides often carry higher value, and bettors who do their homework can find excellent value bets at marjan898.
Another important factor in IPL is home advantage. A match at Wankhede Stadium (Mumbai) plays out very differently from one at Chepauk (Chennai) — pitch conditions, ground dimensions, and home crowd support all come into play. Bettors who factor this into their analysis at marjan898 tend to make more accurate calls.
marjan898 Tip: For IPL matches, look at each team's record at a specific venue over the past 3 seasons. Some franchises have an exceptionally strong home record, while others actually perform better away. This data is far more meaningful than simply checking the current league standings.
| Format | Duration | Markets | Live Bet |
|---|---|---|---|
| T20 | 3–4 hours | 200+ | ✅ Yes |
| ODI | 7–8 hours | 160+ | ✅ Yes |
| Test | 5 days | 120+ | ✅ Yes |

Remember: Cricket is a sport heavily influenced by weather — particularly Test matches in England. Rain can alter the outcome of an entire series. Always check the weather forecast as part of your betting analysis on marjan898.

Strategy & Tips
The cricket pitch is the single most critical factor in determining match outcomes. A dry, crumbling pitch favours spin bowlers (typically South Asian teams). A green, damp pitch favours fast bowlers (typically England and New Zealand). Always check the pitch report before placing your bets on marjan898.
The Powerplay (overs 1–6 in T20, overs 1–10 in ODI) is the most critical phase that sets the tone for the match. If the batting side loses early wickets during the Powerplay, odds for the bowling team shift significantly. Use marjan898's live betting feature to capitalise on these moments.
Day-night matches (particularly ODIs and T20s) that start in the afternoon and finish under lights often give an edge to the team bowling second. Evening dew makes the ball slippery and harder for spin bowlers to grip — which benefits the team chasing. This factor is highly relevant in India and Southeast Asia, including when betting on marjan898.
India vs Pakistan is the most watched and most wagered cricket match in the world. Historically, India has a stronger record against Pakistan in T20 World Cup fixtures. That said, the odds often offer good value on Pakistan due to the intense hype surrounding the rivalry. Let data drive your analysis, not emotion — at marjan898.
In cricket, losing a key player can shift the entire balance of a match. If Virat Kohli or Jasprit Bumrah sits out through injury, their team's odds will move significantly. Always check the latest news from trusted cricket sources before placing your bets at marjan898.
An IPL season can run for over two months, with matches on almost every night. It is easy to go overboard without a set limit. Decide on the maximum amount you are comfortable allocating each night before you open marjan898. That discipline is what separates consistent bettors from those who burn through their bankroll quickly.
